Classroom Expectations/ CLASS DOJO
In my classroom my expectations are high for every student. At the beginning of the year, students will collaborate in coming up with classroom rules and expectations. They will then sign it, and this will be a contract between each of them and myself. I will hold them accountable to the rules and expect them to follow them as such.
This year I will be using Class Dojo for classroom behavior management. Students will gain points for following class rules, expectations and being role models. At the end of the week students will track their points.. There will be small rewards as students earn points for making good choices. Parents, please make sure to look at the Class Dojo App as this is an important part of parent/teacher communication. If there is ever a concern or question about this, do contact me.
You can be an active member of our class by joining Class Dojo and seeing your child's daily progress!
School wide Rules and Expectations
Our school has implemented a school-wide positive behavior plan called Take 5 Expectations. These are:
1. Be there, be ready!
2. Be responsible!
3. Be respectful!
4. Follow directions!
5. Keep personal space!
Bucket Filling
Everyday we work hard to fill our bucket. This represents kind actions from students, following school wide rules and the five expectations, being respectful, and demonstrating the character trait of the month. The class can earn up to five points at a time. Once the bucket is filled, the class will earn rewards such as: Pajama Day, Longer Recess, Electronic Day, Pizza Party, or another fun activity! :)
